We started September off with visit from Papa Schu, Uncle Dan, and Aunt Lisa. It was a great relaxing weekend with family! We spent time watching the Husker game, playing Phase 10 and Yahtzee, eating at Fuji, and playing with the kids.
Picking on Papa Schu while he took a nap:)
Joden started playing flag football this year. Truly I am not sure if he was ready for this. It seems to be too much going on for him and often he is crying because he is hurt:) In the end hopefully it was good exposure to what football is and we will see if he does better next year. Of course Reeve loved cheering him on!
A wonderful thing about the calendar schedule I have been on is I get 3 weeks off in September. So of course I went and got my toes done:) We were going to be tailgating so I thought it would be great to do Husker toes.
We went tailgating with our dinner group crew! We have been doing dinner group for 6 years now. They have definitely become our 2nd family!
Once the game started we headed down to the Railyard to watch the game on the big screen. This game had an exciting ending when Abdullah went through 7 tackles I believe to score the winning touchdown. Everyone in the Railyard erupted with excitement. It was a great Husker moment!
Miss Reeve came to me and asked me to put these rollers in her hair and then informed that she needed to do her work on my computer, which means type:) I absolutely LOVE her personality!
Another great thing about break was it gave me time to do some shopping! I found Joden's costume for Halloween-he was pumped:)
These two truly have an amazing dad! He is so involved in their lives and is always willing to drop whatever he is doing to spend time with them. I am so thankful for him and am glad our children have such a great role model:)
Also during our break we had planned to go visit my mom and dad at the lake. Long story short my parents ended up having to go out of town, but we went anyway. While there we got to spend time with my niece Anslee, my nephews Owen and Finn, my sister, and my sister in law Shannon. It was great to see them all:)
Reeve loves to make different types of faces. This was of course our sad and happy faces:) She is so much fun! I plan to be her best friend forever:)
On our way back to Grand Island we stopped in Target and the kids were so excited to see these chairs, so we all decided to try them out:) We ended up taking pictures of them and said we will send those pictures to Santa and maybe he will bring them for Christmas.
Now that Miss Reeve is in the 3 year old room, she is getting swim lessons at the Y-another reason why I LOVE the Y so much! It was great to be on break because I was able to go in and watch one of her lessons.
Joden was learning the letter H at school, so they were told if they wanted they could do crazy hair day. He obviously does not have a lot of hair, so he thought putting his sisters clips in his hair would be a great idea. I was worried they would become a major distraction. Who knows what he did with them all day, but he only came home with 3 I think.
Since Joden started flag football we have been going to some of the GISH games so he can see what football is all about. It has been fun taking them to the games:) Reeve always insists on having a bag of popcorn and I think if we would let her she could seriously eat the whole bag.
Our good friends Brad and Katie got Joden tickets to the zoo for his birthday, so we decided to go on a beautiful September Saturday. The weather was perfect. We had a great time together!
Also, we decided to spend the night in a hotel in Omaha. We found a good price, which included a pool and breakfast so we figured why not. It was perfect for the kids:) Also, that night we ate at Joe's Crab Shack. It was a fun environment and we discovered that the kids loved crab! This was a great ending to September!
