June 2026

June has been crazy, fun, and all things summer! Grateful for time off and for all that summer brings:)

Baseball on repeat! Joden is on USave again this summer and it has gone about the same as last summer. Bummed, but trusting God's plan for him.

Vacation bible school is always one of my kids' favorite things to help with and it makes my heart so happy!

Senior picture time! It went pretty good and they turned out great! I cannot believe we are here, but am also super excited:)

Finished the patio! We freaking love it out there:)

Joden went to his last ever wrestling camp! It is like hell week so he is grateful to be done with that:)

Bought some plants for the patio and hung out with Blair:)

Got to help host Avery's bridal shower. We had a wonderful time! Then we also got to cheer on our niece Olivia for softball:)

The kids got to go on a mission trip to Texas and Mexico. It was quite the adventure. Joden got bumped off the first flight due to it being overbooked and then their flights home got canceled. They had to drive all the way home, which extended the trip by about 24 hours.

While the kids were away, Mike and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary! We had a great time. College World Series, dinner/stay in Ashland, NE, and coffee shop the next morning!

Last bit of June-Farmer's Market date with the Borowski's, cheering on Liv again, date with Joden, celebrating Father's Day, sourdough pizza crusts, fun in the pond, mosquito bites for Reeve, reuniting with Mason, and mom/Karisa date to Footloose! It was such a great/busy month!

May 2026

May is fun in the sense that it is the culmination of a school year and the beginning of summer! It truly was a fast year and I am assuming summer will be even faster...I mean it is obviously less months, but time off work always goes faster than time at work:)

Reeve's  15th birthday party fell in May. She was actually due in May, but came the end of April. They had such a great time. They did a scavenger hunt and hung out at the house!

Our niece Delayna graduated from high school! We were so glad we were able to help her celebrate:)

That night her boyfriend's band played for us at her house. It was super fun:)

Fun with my students-we got to teach the preschoolers and then my seniors presented their capstone presentations. Both groups did awesome:)

Educators Rising kiddos and I had an end of the year celebration. We went to Happy Brush and then enjoyed Big Red Treats!

Two seniors won the path back scholarship so that was fun and then Mike attended grad parties with me:) A dad hooked him up with a Corona. The Hispanic parties are seriously the best-ha:)

Last day of school! Joden slept in and didn't come-I let him since it was his last year of having to do the last day. Next year he will get out earlier than the rest.

Joden got me flowers for Mother's Day!

Reeve played in a basketball tournament in Lincoln and we were able to connect quick with family!

This cutie pie-aka-my niece, is my sidekick this summer. We are watching her two days a week. And we are loving it:)

Reeve and I were able to go see my sister in Missouri! We had a blast and were grateful for our time together:)

Pond got dug out more-not as deep as we'd like, but for now that is all we can afford. And Mike mowed for the first time-I think it took him 2.5 hours!

Joden wrestled in the freestyle/greco meet at 165-15 pounds heavier than the school year. He went 2-6. Not the greatest, but I am sure just a whole different deal wrestling heavier.

Welp, we are playing on USave again. It has been meh. Glad he did go out to not regret giving it up completely, but I do think this will close out his baseball chapter. Hoping next summer we can enjoy a few long weekends away, having a blast together as a family!
