May 2026

May is fun in the sense that it is the culmination of a school year and the beginning of summer! It truly was a fast year and I am assuming summer will be even faster...I mean it is obviously less months, but time off work always goes faster than time at work:)

Reeve's  15th birthday party fell in May. She was actually due in May, but came the end of April. They had such a great time. They did a scavenger hunt and hung out at the house!

Our niece Delayna graduated from high school! We were so glad we were able to help her celebrate:)

That night her boyfriend's band played for us at her house. It was super fun:)

Fun with my students-we got to teach the preschoolers and then my seniors presented their capstone presentations. Both groups did awesome:)

Educators Rising kiddos and I had an end of the year celebration. We went to Happy Brush and then enjoyed Big Red Treats!

Two seniors won the path back scholarship so that was fun and then Mike attended grad parties with me:) A dad hooked him up with a Corona. The Hispanic parties are seriously the best-ha:)

Last day of school! Joden slept in and didn't come-I let him since it was his last year of having to do the last day. Next year he will get out earlier than the rest.

Joden got me flowers for Mother's Day!

Reeve played in a basketball tournament in Lincoln and we were able to connect quick with family!

This cutie pie-aka-my niece, is my sidekick this summer. We are watching her two days a week. And we are loving it:)

Reeve and I were able to go see my sister in Missouri! We had a blast and were grateful for our time together:)

Pond got dug out more-not as deep as we'd like, but for now that is all we can afford. And Mike mowed for the first time-I think it took him 2.5 hours!

Joden wrestled in the freestyle/greco meet at 165-15 pounds heavier than the school year. He went 2-6. Not the greatest, but I am sure just a whole different deal wrestling heavier.

Welp, we are playing on USave again. It has been meh. Glad he did go out to not regret giving it up completely, but I do think this will close out his baseball chapter. Hoping next summer we can enjoy a few long weekends away, having a blast together as a family!
