Time off work :)

September: Much appreciated times with family and friends!
~Enjoying some family time during Labor Day weekend:
1. Husker game fun!  We just went for tailgating and to let the kids experience the activities on the practice field by the stadium.  It was so incredibly HOT. I think I was sweating in every crevice of my body--but we still had a good time:)

 2. Mike wanted to venture out into the woods with us all! I am thankful that he has such a passion for the outdoors and is passing along his love of hunting to our kids.  The memories they make over the years will be amazing!

 3. On Labor Day Mike and Joden went dove hunting and then we had a relaxing day hanging out at the house. I could not believe Reeve was very willing to hold the doves:)

~While off work it was great to be able to watch some of our basketball players play volleyball and softball.  Reeve enjoyed a blue sucker if you cannot tell!

~Time off work is also a great time to get my hair done!  Kori did a wonderful job styling it for me too, but do you think I can re-create this look?  Heck no!  I get frustrated and then just end up straightening it!

~I asked Joden to sign his name on his Uncle Dan's card and this is what you get:)  Love everything about it!

~Mike's family came down to visit so the adults could attend the brew fest.  I absolutely love all the moments my kids get to spend with their cousins!  We enjoyed having them all <3

~This is Mike's mom, dad, sisters, brothers, and Kati's boyfriend Nate!  Beautiful weather for an outdoor event.
~Feeding the children-always done first in our family so the parents can enjoy their food afterwards!

~Another perk of having time off in September was being able to go to Sidney and spend time with my sister and her family, and to also go see my nephew on Mike's side play football!  We also hit up Cabelas-Reeve would like to have this pink bow some day :)

~After school one Friday we decided to go to Sin City and enjoy some shakes!  Love to do fun, spur of the moment things like this with the kids:)

~During break I also had some extra time to make this pallet!  Of course any project I make does not get done without the help of my handy husband:)  He is more of an artist than I am so he got the N on their for me!  It did turn out awesome and was super easy to do.

~One of Joden's good buddies came over to play.  I snapped this photo because I found it cute that they both had their shirts off:)

~Mike had some ear issues....he got bit by a mosquito which filled his upper ear with fluid.  He had to have two cotton swabs sutured on his ear.  I am sad I do not have a picture of that, but here is one of it swollen.

~Another opportunity during my break was being able to go see Reeve do swim lessons and also visit Joden at school for lunch/recess time.  I know I say it often, but I absolutely LOVE being a mom :)

~Late night at work for dad resulted in time outside in the rain for us!  The kids created an obstacle course with their toys.  I LOVE when they get creative on their own without any sort of technology!

 ~Goofing off during dinner!

~So over the last few years I have heard a lot about the Junk Jaunt.  This year I thought it would be a fun, yet different date for us to go on.  So we got a sitter and headed to Cairo for a large part of the day.  We had fun and found some unique items.  We had lunch at the Cairo bar because the Huskers were playing.  Mike's beer was extra large and huge.  I would of had to go to the bathroom a lot if I would have gotten that large one:)  Oh to be a man!

~This fall Joden started soccer and has really developed a strong passion for being goalie.  We have by no means practiced this much at all, but for some reason he seems to have a knack for it!  It is fun to watch him get after it:)

~That my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
Psalm 30:12

I am forever thankful for the many opportunities that my family had during September!  Thank you Lord for providing these for my family and I-we will continue to sing your praise:)  -Amen
