February

February Fun!
February was filled with the last month of basketball and squeezing in family time along the way.  Wrapping up this first season being assistant varsity coach leaves me filling fulfilled knowing that relationships were built with these high school girls, hopefully leaving a lasting impact on the type of young women they will become some day!

Having some fun at practice playing bounce!
Joden has began flag football.  It sure has been fun seeing him progress some from last year to this year!
Braving the crazy blizzard we had this year that left us with 18 inches of snow-it was crazy!  Mike tried to scoop during the blizzard to stay ahead, but it really was a waste of time!
Blizzards are great for making pancakes for breakfast:)

 And some snow ice cream!
 And for playing games!

The day after the blizzard it was time to scoop snow.  Anyone that knows Mike knows that he is goofy.  He thought it would be funny to take a picture in his boxers:)

Huge drift of snow in front of our garage!  It took us 2 1/2 hours to scoop the driveway!

We love having babies come visit us:)  Miles joined us for the Super Bowl and Ezra came over so her parents could go on a date.  The kids LOVE the babies!

I took Joden to Xenon to get his haircut because our hairdresser was booked.  I was getting nervous at this point, but it ended up okay:)

Senior night.  Here are our two seniors with the coaches!  Thankful to have been given the opportunity to coach these young ladies:)

Got the opportunity to meet up with two friends from Lincoln.  It was so wonderful to see them!!

For Valentine's day we decided to take the kids to a women's Husker basketball game in order to enjoy time together!  We had a blast:)

The game was a pink out in honor of cancer and also Valentine's day!  Of course the boys did not have any pink:)

This picture is one for the memory books!  Reeve was learning about dental health at preschool, which you can tell by the teeth:)  When I was looking over the pictured I noticed the two circles she drew for boobs.  I was thinking that maybe they threw some anatomy in there also :)

My sister and sister-n-law always enjoy coming down each year for state dance.  So we tag along and sure do have fun watching those girls dance!
Trying to keep the boys entertained!

Our team gearing up for districts!  We beat Omaha Bryan this night-woohoo!
My kids have become gym rats, which of course I love!  We pack dinner often to eat during the games:)

Mike and I are doing some house projects!  We were super excited to find some oak floors under our carpet, but we think we will have to still lay wood flooring in order to avoid a floor height difference:(

Our good friends invited us to go to Escape Lincoln in Lincoln, NE down in the haymarket.  We almost got through the challenge, but ran out of time.  Either way though we had a great time!

First house project was painting.  I let Reeve have some fun writing her and her brothers names:)

This is the 4th time I have tried to give blood.  I usually struggle trying to give blood, but this time went very well!  I have figured out that I need to eat a pretty substantial meal right before I go and of course drink lots of water.  Love the feeling of doing something for others:)
So afterwards I went to the Chocolate Bar for a peanut butter mocha-yum!!

Read Across America week!  This day was crazy sock day:)
As February wraps up it leaves me reflecting on the value of serving others...
