Summer is a time where routines, schedules, bedtimes, and flow of everyday life sure seems to get out of whack. Even though that is the case my heart rests easy knowing that these will be some of the greatest memories for not only our children, but for us as well!
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
June kicked off with our GI basketball camps. This included our high school middle school, and elementary girls. It was a tiring, yet rewarding week. One extra bonus is all of us coaches bring in our kiddos and they have so much fun together:)
Above Joden joined in on some fun with our dinner group friends and below are the girls hanging out:)
Another great moment this month was receiving this picture! Mike's brother Dan and his wife Lisa are expecting their first baby. Looking forward to being an aunt again!!
The final night of baseball in Kearney. The boys won both their games, ending the season on a fun note! We sure enjoyed cheering Joden on and look forward to more baseball in the future:)
Tooth #2 out while at basketball camp with mom!
Showing dad that night on our date:)
Our kids just love our good friends' little guy Miles. It melts my heart how great my kids are with him and secretly love the thought of how they would be great siblings, but that is not possible :)
Fun with friends!
We wrapped up June with a trip to Kearney for The Little Mermaid at Yaney Park. This is such an awesome event that they do each year!
*Unfortunately no one told me I had pepper in my teeth :(

These crazy girls put glitter in their hair! I guess that is what happens when you are not really being watched:)
Team camp in Kearney after we finished up GI camp. The girls made a Miles sandwich:)
Reeve performed at church because she was a part of the VBS crew. Joden unfortunately had archery camp the same time so he missed out.
Basement renovation began with this. We have now installed two egress windows--this was the first one. Mike is a rock star and is super patient with these types of crazy tasks. Let's hope this renovation ends by Christmas!
Next up Mike began to tear apart the two rooms down in the basement in order to create two similar sized closets. Our thinking is that the kids will possibly move downstairs in a few years. We will see how that goes when the time comes :)
Mike and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary on June 16th. One of my bucket list items (and his) is to go see a Duke game at Cameron while Coach K is still coaching. So, although he could not get tickets yet, he plans on taking me there this winter! Love this guy so much and love that he enjoys crazy adventures with me!
Kinkaider beer to celebrate:)
Dinner group this month was at Keaslings and it was quite entertaining. First of all the girls convinced Joden to dress up like a girl. Then a cop drove by, saw the kids outside playing, and decided to stop. They got a badge and got to sit in his cop car! Love those kind of random nights:)
Next up was Father's Day. The kids and I picked out 8 gifts for Mike since he has been a dad for 8 years. Also, they filled out these sheets that we grabbed from the library. It was fun hearing their questions for me when they were filling them out:)
These two will someday realize how awesome of a dad they have--not that they do not seem to appreciate him now--just know that it will hit him big time once they are an adult with their own kids!

Baseball tournament in GI. This was their best tournament by far and we were super proud of their hard work! I often have to remind myself that they are just 8:)
An added bonus was Papa Schu was here to watch the tournament!
The other Riverdogs team ended up winning the tournament. We went back to cheer them on! What a long weekend of baseball.
In the midst of the whole weekend Reeve ended up losing her first tooth! She rocked it and was super excited:) I think the tooth fairy left her $2.
Love coming home to moments like the one below!
One incredibly amazing way that our church sends us out as disciples in our community is through an outreach VBS. My heart is forever grateful that God has led me down this journey. Each summer we go to two different trailer parks in town and hold our VBS at their site. One part that I love so much about it is we are outside enjoying a simple meal, singing great music, hearing about God's word, playing games, and making crafts! The smiles and fun these kiddos have sure makes my heart happy.
Another great part is getting to bring Reeve with me:)

Joden and his teammates were watching the other Riverdogs team play and I thought this was such a great moment that I had to snap a picture! They will only be young for so long...cherish every moment:)

Reeve and her friend Adeline get along so well! Hoping their friendship lasts a lifetime:)

A few random photos that I forgot from June. These were from when the kids were in Sidney while we were in Mexico.
