August every year means back to the grind of school for the kids and work for mom! It is always exciting, but boy is it tiring.
This first picture is just a random my dad sent me of his dad. I definitely look more like my dads side than my moms and I do think we have some similar features. I adored him, but sadly only got to know him for six years.
Pool time with Reeve!
Joden's life is full of falling asleep in random places--this just adds another one to the list!
This was such a great night! Book club girls came over for a night on the patio to meet Miss Sawyer:)
One of our most exiting moments this summer was Reeve learning to ride her bike! We have loved being able to ride to places such as the park.
Not much of a selfie person-unless Mike or the kids are in the picture with me...but I was showing off my skin to my R + F gal. I used to be on R + F, but struggled with drying out. Tried Arbonne for awhile, but it hated my skin for some reason. R + F has made me feel so much better about my face!
Dinner group at our friends' parents house and Joden brought his friend Lucas!
Lucas stayed the night because Joden asked him to run the Sludge Trudge with him:) It was the cutest thing and I am thankful Mike did this with them!
Reeve and her visor she got from the church store:)
Bike ride to DQ to use Joden's summer reading coupon! Cherishing all these moments before they grow up and I am not cool anymore:(
Joden stayed the night at a friends and got to ride this...Little Rascals :)
Date with the kids at The Chocolate Bar before the kids went back to school. Let them get a treat and of course Joden chose a huge piece of chocolate cake!
Friends at the pool!
Date night! So important for our marriage:)
Back to school! Our first day back always includes a half day in the GISH auditorium with every GIPS employee-so lots of people!
Camping adventure at Windmill! Last trip prior to school starting.
This same weekend was my niece Charlee's birthday. My sister has moved away just recently due to the Cabelas-Bass Pro deal. She was really struggling in regards to Charlee's gravesite being so far away and her not being able to go there on her birthday. So, her friends all got together and it just so happened that my parents were there at the same time! God is so good--love that this moment happened:)

Our neighbor has a pool and sent us this picture when the kids were there swimming one day:)
First day of school pics! Reeve is in 2nd grade, Joden 4th, me in my 12th year of teaching and Mike just works year round:) Time is flying for sure...it always reminds me to be present and enjoy everyday. Camping has really helped me to do so also!
My first day at Barr! We have about 250 kids in 6th grade!
We were training for the State Fair Marathon Relay and we were so sweaty! Had to capture the moment :)
I let Reeve do my makeup😛
Brewfest with my main squeeze! Again, love our time together-so important!
Many of our friends were there! Makes the event that much more fun:)
Dinner date with Joden and he sure enjoyed his root beer!
State Fair with my 6th graders!
Some of Mike's family came for the State Fair! We got to enjoy Livie without Dan and Lisa...I loved loving on her!
State Fair Marathon Relay! We got 4th out of 30 teams-we were pretty proud of that!
Happy birthday to Mike! Finally got him a smoker from all of us:)
Celebrated that night with a movie and ice cream in bed:)
Joden got this book and finished it in the same day:)
State Fair with just the four of us to see the shows! We had a great time and enjoyed all three shows we saw:)
Although this month was busy, reflecting made me realize how much time we all spent with one another! Family is one of life's greatest blessings and I thank God daily for the family I have been blessed with:)
