July

July has zoomed along and just like that we are wrapping up summer, gearing up for school...we all say it, but it truly is crazy how fast the time goes by, which is a great reminder to be compassionate and loving towards one another every single day.

The kids' school read to four different retirement homes this summer.  We made it to two of them and the kids actually really enjoyed this!  Love their want to do kind deeds for others:)

Later that day we took off for my parents' to enjoy the 4th with my side of the family at the lake!  It was a great weekend had by all:)

We LOVE our back patio and spend lots of time out there just relaxing and enjoying each others company!

Had a fun night with some book club and bible study friends!  We tried the R + F masks and played with makeup:)

Rode bikes to DQ to use Reeve's reading reward!  Love that the kids are older and can enjoy these types of activities:)

Friends, pools, and snacks...that's what summer is all about for kids!

The original plan was to camp with family, but due to the unfortunate passing of Nate's brother Justin we had to adjust our plans.  We ended up just staying at our place and I stayed with all the kids while the adults attended the funeral.  Not what anyone wants to have to adjust plans for, but we sure did enjoy each others company and I LOVED the one on one time with my nieces and nephew!

Randoms-library fun and cookie making with Reeve!

Very honored that Joden got selected to play on the all-star team.  These boys had a great run and it was fun watching them play together!  Joden we are so proud of your progress this year and your growth in attitude/leadership.  We are very thankful that this was the route we went with you and baseball.  God definitely led us in the right direction.

Quick beer at Kinkaider with this hottie before going on our girls trip!

Girls trip to Breckinridge, CO.  We began with a stop at Pals in North Platte, then we stayed at my parents' place, next we stopped in Idaho Springs for rafting, after that we headed to Breckinridge where we enjoyed shopping and a bike tour.  All in all we had a wonderful time, lots of laughing, and just the right break from being moms:).

Meanwhile Mike was dealing with both kiddos and state baseball:)

Back home and back to food prepping!

Joden has really enjoyed completing puzzles!  Got these at the $1 store for a $1 each!

Grant was able to come home for his leave from the Army so we made a quick trip to Sidney to see him!  We had a great time and were grateful for the time we had with him:)

We had to rush back home early Sunday morning because Joden had a team gymnastics party.  They had a blast and as you can see he passed out before 7.

Prepping for the state fair relay!

Quick date night with my man:).
