November 2020

It is already November!  As much as this year has been incredibly different, it really has gone by fast and we have made many great memories:)

We wrapped up quarantine with a visit to Hall County Park-thankfully the weather was beautiful!

Back to work and school!  Quarantine had it's highs and lows, but man we were very excited to get back to school/work!

Enjoyed this kind note from someone at work:)

We decided to go on a dinner date to the Odyssey to celebrate being out of quarantine:)

The kids went to Mile's birthday party while we were at dinner:)

First basketball tournament for Reeve's team.  We went 1-2.  It was exciting to get a win and super fun to see the progress these girls have made.  Our next two tournaments have been cancelled, but we are hoping to play one last time in Columbus on December 12th.

Read the caption below...REEVE!!!!  I do truly believe we need to make mistakes in life to grow.  I pray this was one of those moments :)

Had fun changing up my kitchen table this year :)

Decided to make my moms biscuits for our dinner group Friendsgiving.  For my first try I thought they turned out pretty darn good!

Saturday fun!  Went to Jessie Richter's shop and got a few items off the table for my dads Christmas gift and enjoyed some Wasabi that night for dinner.

Our district ended up giving us the Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week off for mental health days due to how crazy this year has been.  So, I took advantage of the time to do a craft with Reeve and a bowling date with Joden.  Love my time with them both!

Reeve is learning to pitch-she is really liking it!

Family holiday fun included:

Wednesday-BBQ dinner at my house, followed by a visit to the bar in St. Libory where my sister met Nick

Thursday-we enjoyed our day at the Hermesch's for Thanksgiving

Friday and Saturday-Heather and family came to stay with us-we basically just stayed at our house and enjoyed each others company :)

Mom and dad did not join us this year due to Covid, but they came to town quick to get their new puppy.  Reeve snuck in a quick snuggle:)

Wrapped up November with some movie snuggles.  We watched Togo, which is based on a true story.  It was a good one!

October

October has been an interesting one!  The month was rolling along and then all of a sudden Covid struck.  Mike started having a cough and decided to get tested due to two other guys in his office getting it.  Long story short, he tested positive, which required us to quarantine for the end of October.  Being home has its pros and cons for sure!  We are definitely a social family, so we cannot wait to return to our regular schedule.

Started off the month celebrating a dear friend of mines 40th birthday!  I am so glad our paths crossed because she is amazing:). Looking forward to our relationship growing in the years to come!

Joden wrapped up his soccer season undefeated and best part was for his last game his girl crush was there:). It definitely made his day and he played extra hard for her!

Reeve enjoyed volleyball at the Y this fall.  She sadly had to miss her last two Saturdays of volleyball due to us being quarantined.  We are excited to watch her play more volleyball in the future.  She definitely displays a passion for the game and also displays leadership skills.

Hannah is a para educator at Gates that Reeve has gotten to know.  She also teaches Reeve gymnastics.  Hannah is starting up some photography on the side so she asked if she could take some pictures of Reeve.  They turned out great!

Lindsey has met a new man-Nick. We are still getting to know him, but one thing is for sure.  She seems so much happier!  I am sure the long distance relationship is hard, but we pray that it all works out the way it should for her:)

Just waiting for our coffees:)

Joden being Joden...naps and goofiness!

Sadly we lost Mike's Uncle Wally this month after a long fight with cancer!  We are grateful he is no longer suffering, but it is so hard to watch the whole Beardsley crew miss someone they love so dearly.  Thankfully we were able to make it to the celebration of his life.  We got to ride with Aunt Lisa and Liv:)

We drove back afterwards and got home around 1:15am.  We did so because Joden had his last soccer game the next day and Reeve had volleyball.  Mike stayed back in Sidney to hunt with Dan and Nate.

That night Joden had a birthday party so Reeve and I took advantage of the opportunity to go on a date.

Reeve wanted to add a bit of color to her hair, so we tried the Koolaid method and it turned out alright.  We are thinking maybe next time we need to do a brighter color.

Dinner group was Halloween themed this month and we are thankful we got to squeeze this in prior to quarantine!

The next day we headed to Lincoln to Roca Berry Farm with most of our Schumacher Crew.  It was so busy there!  We had fun, but I think I am just fine with the smaller pumpkin patches in the GI area.

And quarantine began :(. This was our first weekend home.  I forced Mike to go for a walk for fresh air, got some new boots, made a cake we were supposed to take to Bible Study, and Reeve made slime.  Looking back, it really was a good weekend, but my heart was sad for the events we missed out on.  Mike and I were to host a Husker party, Reeve had volleyball, we missed Blair's first birthday, and also Bible Study.

The following week I got groceries masked up, had MANY Zoom calls, Reeve did a gymnastics workout Peggy sent her, we snuck out for free ice cream from our race we did, and carved Pumpkins.

Pictures of our family on Halloween!

Although this was a strange month, it still had many amazing moments that we are forever grateful for.  Sometimes in life when we look back on situations, we are reminded that although we had trouble finding joy in certain moments, it really was there.  Sometimes it is to even teach us and/or help us grow!

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5
