March

This has turned out to be the craziest month of many peoples lives!  Beginning on March 15th roughly we have be quarantined to our homes due to the corona virus, which is highly contagious.  School is all online now and we will not go back to school at all this year.  Also, all activities are cancelled.  We also do not know how long we will be quarantined, which makes it even more difficult.
The greatest blessings of this all though is time together, slower pace of life, and the fact that we are in spring, which allows for us to get outside and enjoy the weather🙌

Prior to this all, it was hat day at school :)

My students had to do mini lessons for me and they had a blast doing them!  Love the engagement and excitement in the room:)

Joden had a gymnastics meet in Springfield, Missouri, which is where my sister lives.  Little did we know this may have been our last trip for a very long time!

After getting to Lindsey's house late Friday, we began our fun on Saturday.  We enjoyed some delicious pizza and a brewery!  Joden had a late meet-5pm, so we had time to burn.

The weather was beautiful, so we enjoyed our beer samples on the patio while the kids danced and moved around outside.  The Vitamin D was great!

Joden had a wonderful meet and got 2nd all around.  We are so proud of him as he has progressed throughout the season.  He lost first by .300 and was hopeful to take first at state, which sadly we did not end up getting to have!

Brunch is how we started off our Sunday.  It was delicious!

Then we headed off to Branson, Missouri.  We hit up an adventure place for the kids, followed by some fun at an outdoor mall type place by the water.  We tasted Moon Shine, us girls got our nails done, kids got ice cream, and we enjoyed dinner at Joe's Crab Shack!  It was such a fun day:)

Monday, which was Joden's 11th birthday, we headed back to Grand Island.  As soon as we got back we got situated to host a sleepover for Joden's birthday.

5/8 stayed the night, enjoying pizza and cookies.  Then the next day we headed to a paintball course for the main party.  The boys had a blast and we shall return some day:). Can't believe my first babe is already 11, but sure am grateful for the young man he is becoming!

Then on that Wednesday Mike had a date planned for me, which was actually a Christmas gift.  We enjoyed The Illusionists at the Orpheum in Omaha.  Prior to the show we enjoyed dinner and some drinks!  We had a great time and again, who knows when we will get to do something like go to Omaha again.

This whole week was our spring break, so one day Delayna came and hung out with us for a bit!

Then this is when quarantine began.  Some of our activities have been working out with mom, nerf gun war, bike rides, yoga for mom, Zoom calls with lots of friends/family, DQ runs, origami, church on TV, being thankful for groceries, trips to the woods, going for runs, baking, bonding with each other, and of course online learning.

Dinner group Zoom call since we couldn't meet.

Called Mike one night from the bedroom and this is what he did when he answered the phone :)

Another perk of this situation is getting lots done around our house-two examples are cleaning out the file cabinet and cutting down trees!  Looking forward to completing a few more tasks.

My sister works here at our hospital as the director of nursing in the ICU and rehab floor I believe.  She is right in the heat of all of this.  Lifting her up and all the medical workers around the world who are working their tales off at this time to do all they can for those in need.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
