August 2021

August was a good month in more ways than 1!

Dance open house and football practice kicked off the month and made us excited for the year to come!
First day of school!  I am in my 15th year, Joden is a 7th grader, and Reeve is a 5th grader.
Joden begged us to do football and gymnastics, which is a lot at one time.  On Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, he goes from football practice straight to gymnastics.  He has rocked it and does not complain at all.  So, DQ blizzard it is!
Mike is leasing a new hunting property this year that is right on the river.  He has taken on cat fishing with lines that he typically leaves overnight.  They have caught some and have had some fun:). Love how much this guy has taught the kiddos to love the outdoors!

Dinner date with some dear friends to chat about the Utah hiking trip.  Leah came down with a bad headache so they couldn't make it.  We decided not to chat about Utah and do dinner again so we could catch up with the Michels:)
Well we finally decided to put in two sump pumps and a beaver system.  After getting quotes in the $20,000 range.  Mike decided he would take it on himself.  It has been quite the task, but super grateful for Mike's skillsets to do so!
Love getting my nails done:)
Brewfest is always a good time!
Mike and I celebrated his birthday downtown with a few drinks and dinner.  Kids had activities, so it was pretty low key and simple, but grateful we got to spend time together!
This summer these gals and I have done a book club together with the book Mama Bear Apologetics.  God definitely led us together and it has felt oh so good!  Lots of great conversations with these ladies and deepened relationships.
Leslie Wolfe reached out to us ladies to run in the state fair marathon relay with her and we had a blast!  We even got first out of 11 women's teams.  Also, got lots of comments on our tanks!  Love like Jesus:)

Halpines did not get to join us on the postponed Mexico trip, so we met up out at their place for some fun on the lake!  It was such a great time:)

State fair fun with friends!
We have a new family member-baby Mary "Quinn" has arrived!  WE are in love:)

Blair got to stay the night while mom and dad were in the hospital!  So grateful they live here with us in GI and look forward to all the memories to come:)

Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from Him.
