November 2024

So much to be thankful for this month!  It seems like all the months are fast anymore--maybe due to the age of our children.  I always try to remind myself to not get caught up in the stress of it all, but to pause and thank God for all of our blessings!

Deer camp with dad!  No deer were killed, but some great memories were made.

Joden and his buddies surprised Jarid for his 16th birthday!  They had a great time and Jarid had no clue.

Took our kids to tailgate for the first time!  We had a great time and even saw a bar fight. That was not in the original plan, but it was a great experience to show our kids what not to do!

GISH girls made it to the final four and lost that game.  They so could have made it to the championship game!  Either way, we got to go watch two games.  It was a great way to experience state volleyball and hopefully make them hungry to try to get there one day.

Some education students and I went to UNK to attend an Educators Rising conference.  We had a great time and the students were well behaved.

Joden got to join us for Reeve's game in Columbus.  We always try to go out to eat once a season.  We had a great time!

Took the nice camera to capture a few action shots!

Reeve's fan club.  Blair made a special sign for her!

More school snapshots.  My juniors finished up our partnership with Knickrehm.  We had so much fun connecting with the 5th graders:)

We had some guys speakers for the juniors who spoke all about special education.

Sophomores presented lessons and did such a great job!  I have been so proud of them:)

Date night!  Always make time to squeeze in a date night:)

Reeve and Eleanor did a duet at church and did an awesome job!  I love their friendship and their singing skills:)

Our house is officially underway! Praying we will be in it in a year from now-ahhhhhhh.  Crazy to think!

Braces are officially off!  So glad we are all done with braces.

Orchestra concert for Joden.  It might be his last.  He is not wanting to continue, so we will see.  They sound so great!

Joden clinched the varsity spot at wrestle offs.  We will see how it goes.  I hope he can hang with the varsity athletes! We are so proud of him.

Thanksgiving break!  We enjoyed time with family, relaxing on the couch, good food, puppy snuggles, shopping, and hitting up the Coop on a whim.

October 2024

October was so fun! Lots of friend and family time with some adventure thrown in the mix.

The boys drew their elk tags this year so they went on a week long elk hunt in Wyoming.  It was 20 degrees warmer than usual so it was basically a bust.

Why not hunt again once you get back??  It appears Mike has some sort of a sweaty issue!

Decided to have a moving sale.  Heather and Karisa joined in on the fun.  It was decent, but not amazing.  The weather was beautiful though, so at least that was a win!

Reeve and Kendall hung out with us!

As Mike traveled back from hunting I went to South Dakota to help Lisa celebrate her 40th.  We had a little bit a tire issue on the way there, but we made it.  We enjoyed a night downtown Deadwood, which was honestly pretty chill.  Then we hung out at the house all day Saturday and enjoyed the Husker game and some good food.  Finally, we ran the marathon relay on Sunday.  We did great and the weather was amazing!  Cheers to 40 Lisa:)

Reeve is always taking sunrise and sunset pictures on my phone. And selfies  :)

Mike and Quinine snuggles:)

We sure enjoyed cheering on Ellie!

Fun with Liv while the boys were hunting!

The final stretch of volleyball.  We ended 8-2.  Way to go girls!

Celebrated the end of fall sports with dinner at Texas Roadhouse and the Borowski's!

Homecoming 2024 for Joden!

Love when family can make it to Joden's tennis matches when we cannot be there.  He had a pretty decent year for never playing prior.  He got to be an alternate for state, so he basically got to go spend three days having fun in Lincoln.  The team placed, which was the first time since 2012.  Way to go!  Excited to see what next year brings.

October is always a fun time to do the team builder where we make Halloween costumes out of newspaper.  The kids are always so creative.  It is definitely one of my favorites.

Well October 2024 is the beginning of a new and crazy journey.  We broke ground on our property.  Dirt work is being done and we hope to have a home in about a year from now.  The blueprint of what it looks like is below.

We got to help Blair celebrate her 5th birthday:)

I enjoyed taking four seniors to an Educators Rising conference.  We had a great time:)

We ended the month carving some pumpkins at the Borowski's!
