December '23

December, the month that we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the light of the world!  It really is a magical time and we enjoyed spending quality time with friends and family💚🤍

Sure do love watching the kids do what they love!  Basketball at Westridge went pretty good and Joden is kicking butt at wrestling!  We are proud of them both and hope that sports teaches them some great life skills.  It is not all about winning and losing.

I had a work trip to Phoenix and enjoyed FaceTiming the boys:). Reeve got to enjoy a treat with her dad too!

Ladies event at our church with some amazing women!

Reeve and Eleanor sang at our church for a special church event.  It was beautiful!

Reeve had a ortho appointment and really wanted a picture of them switching out her bracket :)

One of my students got to be highlighted on NTV news for our practicum experience!  She rocked it:)

Date nights are important to us.  It is a must to spend time in relationship with one another if we want to keep our marriage strong!

This year I am coaching the third grade team!  They are a blast:).

Holiday concerts for Joden and Reeve!

We had the 3rd graders scrimmage the 2nd graders at half time of the girls game.  It was the cutest thing ever and the fans were cheering so loud for them!

Dates with our kids are also important for the same reason!  Joden and I enjoyed Elf:)

After driving the Durango for 12 years, I got a new vehicle.  I could have kept driving it, but after getting hit several years ago I have had issues with it.  Super exciting, but equally not fun to pay for a vehicle-ha!  We are loving it so far.

We had a great holiday!  It was spent in Grand Island.  We did not have to go anywhere.  We decorated cookies, delivered some 'Love your Guts' boxes, attended Christmas Eve service, followed by soup night with just us four at our house, then Christmas morning with us four, and my family for Christmas dinner.  Over the holiday we also got to enjoy a night out with our dear friends and some time with my family once my sister Lindsey made it to town.  To round out all the fun we celebrated with some of the Schumachers for New Years Eve.  We enjoyed a Husker women's game and game night at the Ankenys.  Feeling incredibly blessed and grateful for the time we had with our friends and family.
