Although February is a shorter month, it sure was a busy one! I love looking back at the photos and soaking in the moments even more.
Show choir performances began with a competition in Central City! They placed first. They have such a strong group of singers. Reeve is on the fence if she will do it in high school.
Reeve's good friend Quinn always has fun birthday parties. They do a murder mystery event. She sure had fun role playing her part:)
So much wrestling in February! This was a meet in Norfolk. Not sure what place they got. I cannot remember-ha!
State duals they placed second! Joden faced tough competition that day. He got pinned for the first time all season by a Papillion kid. His shoulder started to bother him. He found out it was his rotator cuff.
District wrestling was held in GI. He lucked out with a bracket that allowed him to make it to state. The top four make it and he got fourth. We were so proud of him because he is so new to wrestling. He had a great fan club cheering him on as well. He pinned his guy to make it to state and he did a cool move to do so. Again, we were all so proud of him!
State send off goodie bags!
Warming up at state.
First day he faced off with the kid that got first overall. His name is Mason Petersen and he is out of Columbus. He is so good. Joden fought hard, but ended up getting pinned. He said his shoulder could not fight him off any more.
Even if you lose the first day, you are guaranteed day two. So, we stayed the night and went out to a nice dinner and spent some quality time together.
Mike and I snuck over to the speakeasy right by our hotel. It was awesome to be able to squeeze in some time together!
Day two Joden wrestled this kid from Papillion LaVista South I believe. He almost beat him! We were proud of him for ending his season on that note. Excited to see what next year will bring!
The whole wrestling team got recognized at the basketball game during halftime. It was fun to see them get recognized in front of a good sized crowd!
These two were actually getting along for once:)
Basketball season went pretty good. Several of these girls will go to Northwest and one is going to wrestle. We are excited to see what the future brings. Basketball at GISH has not been the best, but hoping Reeve will enjoy some positives next year and the years to come.
We enjoyed the Schumacher crew coming to cheer Reeve on!
Joden passed his driver's test and got his pickup. He turns 16 on March 9th.
Reeve got confirmed this month! We are so proud of the relationship she has developed with God and we can't wait to watch it continue to grow.
We celebrated with some family! We had ribs, cornbread, roasted green beans, potatoes, and cupcakes.
Reeve's volleyball season with AVC kicked off. They did alright. Definitely had some kinks to work out, but fun to watch her play Libero.
Grandma Marcella passed away at 92. She lived such an amazing life. We sure enjoyed celebrating her and spending time with the extended Schumacher crew. It truly is a blessing to be a Schumacher. I think God daily for the family he has blessed me with!
