July 2013

What the Schumachers did during July 2013....

Sadly July meant mom had to return to work, BUT it did not mean we quit having fun:)
There is just something incredibly sweet about a baby sleeping!

This look completely explains Jodens personality-he is a goof!

I know I am biased, but she is such a sweety:)

Right before I did go back to work we headed to Aurora, which is where the kids' old sitter, Sara, moved. We decided to have a picnic in the park and then enjoy the splash pad.  All of the old daycare moms and kids came except Erin and Bella (we missed them!).

Another picture of Mr. Goofy Joden! He stuffed his blanket in his pants and thought it was funny.

We spent the 4th of July with our great friends-Keaslings!  Mike typically has to work the day before and after holidays, so we do not always venture back home (Sidney) for holidays.

Our 4th consisted of the kids swimming at Keaslings, followed by dinner, then fireworks in the drive way, and finally we went to Fonner to watch the firework show:) It was a great night!

The four kids:  Reeve-2, Ellie-1, Chloe-5, Joden-4

This year at work I ended up moving rooms due to our building adding a section of ELA.  With that being said I moved to a closet:)  Here is what it looks like.  It truly has not been that bad!  *Our building is under some construction and a new room will be added, which is supposed to become mine.  We shall see!

More fun at the pool!  We spent many days at the pool.  Since mom was back to work we would go after work or after dinner:)
I decided to do a few projects around the house over the summer and this was one of them.  I of course do not have it completed in this picture, but you get the idea:)  My dear friend Megan picked these up for me in Denver from IKEA-$45 for all three shelves!!  What an awesome deal:)

Joden experiencing another one of his many allergic reactions:(  Of course it happened the day before he was to start preschool.  So you can see in the pictures below that he was a tad swollen for his first day of preschool.  *Also, the kids began their new daycare at the Y in Grand Island.  It is awesome!  They get daycare, Joden gets preschool and swim lessons, all for one fee and we do not have to worry about getting him to and from preschool.

7.13.13

This was a Saturday full of sugar for the kids! We got a coupon for an Eileen's cookie from our church for volunteering in the nursery, so we took the kids one morning after we worked out at the Y:)

Next up was Ellie's 2nd birthday party where the kids ate more sugar-cake and ice cream!

Reeve loved Ellie's new chair!

This day ended with a date night:) Anna came over to watch the kids while we went to The Heat with Sandra Bullock, which was super funny!  After that we hit up Whitey's for a beer and some nachos!

Just a few more random snap shots of the kiddos:)

 7.20.13

We decided to finally use our zoo tickets that we had gotten back on Joden's birthday when there was a really bad snow storm. My sister and her family met us there-we had a great time!

After the zoo we spent the night at Aunt Kati's house. Joden found one of Aunt Kati's hats and tried it on:)

Another night at the wading pool.  We actually had it all to ourselves! Reeve is not drowning-she just likes to crouch down real low in the water:)

7.26.13 & 7.27.13

We played in our first ever Grand Island Games. Although we were definitely not the best team out there, we had a blast!

After the games were over we went to Wasabi for dinner and as you can see our waitress was a tad confused:)  Our kids were with Shermans camping that weekend, so we went out with Keaslings afterwards.  We had a great time and ended the night eating Dominos that Mike ordered!
