May
is always filled with many end of the school year events, which
although results in lots of craziness, it also provides us with
gratitude for the blessings God has given us!
Joden just being goofy one morning before school when he dressed up as a baseball player:)
Event #1: Gates field day for Joden. He right away wanted a snapshot with a few boys in his class:)

Event #2: Mike taught Junior Achievement at Howard
in Mrs. Fox's 2nd grade class. It was truly cute watching him prepare
for his lessons each night and getting a feel of the teacher world:)
Most importantly though I am so proud of him for taking time out of his
busy day to make a difference in the lives of our Howard kiddos. You can see below they liked him just a tiny bit!
Event #3: Reeve got registered for Kindergarten! She was SO excited:) Joden was eager to show her everything at Gates and wanted to make sure she knew all the ins and outs.
Event #4: Reeve's preschool graduation. I know everyone says this, but 5 years sure went by fast! We are finished with the daycare stage and have moved on to them both being in school-craziness:/
I know that I am biased, but this sweet girl is so precious and just floods my heart with joy<3
Event #5: Joden's first year of baseball! Anyone that knows Joden he has an incredible amount of energy
so we chose to wait until 7 to start baseball with him. I will not lie
this stage is pretty painful to watch, but I know before long he might be playing high school baseball and I will wonder where the time went:)
For the record the picture on the right was not real--this was Joden being Joden. He models pretend plays and him executing them-I LOVE it! :)
*I sure love everything about Joden's personality. He always seems to bring a smile to my face when I am having one of those down days...I often take a moment and think that God sure knew I needed this added spunk in my life:)
Event #6: Reeve's Time to Shine. This sweet girl often has the smile that you see on her face in these pictures. She has definitely enjoyed gymnastics and it has been a joy watching her get better with each year!
Event #7:
Time to Shine for Joden. It sure has been truly amazing to watch him
progress through the different stages of gymnastics. Not really sure
how long he will do this, but as long as he enjoys it we will continue going. I am sure it will be helpful with other sports in his future.
Event #8: Family Fun Run was a good time had by all of us. Reeve and I embarked
on the 1 mile while Mike and Joden did the 5K. Crazy thing is both kids got trampled at the beginning of their races, but we all ended up finishing and had a great time:)

Event #9: We went out to Stuhr Museum and enjoyed the free day there. This was in an old school room.
Event #10: Last day of first grade for Joden!
Event #11:
Last day at Howard for me:( These ladies were like my team. As a
Learning Facilitator you do not have a grade level team, so these ladies felt like my team. They are our secretary, counselor, and principal. It is so bittersweet leaving Howard, but as I have shared with many, I feel in my heart that I need more classroom time. Therefore I will be moving
to the middle school world to teach 6th grade language arts. I am
excited and truly do look forward to being in the leadership world again
some day!
Event #12: Reeve's last day of preschool! She was not sad at all if you cannot tell:) She's just always excited for whatever is next!
Event #13: We hit up the summer reading kickoff at the library and had a great time. I do LOVE our library and all that it has to offer for kids.
Just one of those moments where you catch your kids making memories together, while discovering life at the same time. Melting heart kind of moment!
Event #14: Each kid enjoyed a sleepover on the same night. Reeve had Adeline stay the night and Joden got to sleepover at Nelson's. Great time had by all!
Just Joden being Joden:)
Summer is exhausting for Joden and gave me time to practice a fun braid in Reeve's hair!
Event #15: Mike's sister Shannon came down for Memorial Day and we enjoyed some fun in Hastings, hitting up Island Oasis, and grilling out at our house. We sure had a great time and wished we lived closer for sure!
Event #16: We wrapped up May by going over to the Michel's to celebrate Alex's 30th birthday. Alex is who I coach with at Senior High. I decided to snap a photo with his wife Leah because she sure has became a great friend:)
