July sure has been such a great month, full of some exciting adventures...ones that I am incredibly thankful for!
When we moved in our house 5 years ago I decorated the bathroom
as a kids bathroom. Now that our kids are growing up I decided to
re-decorate it. First project I completed was painting the cabinets.
It actually went pretty darn well! Here is the before and after:
Both the kids attended some camps this summer and this one was princess camp for Reeve!
The kids sure love their time hanging out with dad in the woods:)
Mike wore her out!
Reeve and Joden both got dates with dad this month! Joden loves arcade games so that is what he chose to do:)
Reeve chose Valentinos and then some putt-putt golf:)
One afternoon we enjoyed some adventures at Hall County Park with friends!
Enjoyed some fireworks at our friends' house.
Due
to lots of traveling this summer we chose to stay in Grand Island for
the 4th. So we went on a small road trip on the 2nd to Ord to try their
brewery. It was a fun little outing on such a gloomy day!
That
night we lit off a few fireworks with the kids. It was a lot of fun
watching the kids get so excited and wanting to help Mike light them:)
Then on the 3rd we had over my sister and her family as well as the Keaslings! We all had a great evening:)
Finally on the 4th we went to Fonner to enjoy their firework show!
The
kids and I have gone to the pool every day that we have been in Grand
Island this summer and have not had anything else going on! We have
loved it and it keeps us all from driving each other crazy:)
I
snapped a selfie of my face because I have spent my summer only wearing
blush and powder thanks to Rodan and Fields. I guess this is my little
shout out that I am a huge supporter of their product! I have not had a
zit all summer:)
While
working in my new classroom this summer I have spent about two days
clearing out old resources! Here is the pile of old resources I sent to
the warehouse:)
After all that hard work in my classroom I treated myself to an iced coffee at The Chocolate Bar!
Another pool photo of Joden and his buddy Nelson in the lazy river:)
The
girls that I lived with in college came to our house for a BBQ so we
snapped a photo of us and all the kids. It is crazy to think how just
like that we are all married and have all of these kids...where did time
go?
I was being goofy with the kids one day after the pool....there response was oh mom:)
July was when we did our K-5 and 6-8 basketball camps so here are a few picks from camp!
One minute ballin it up and the next being a princess:)
Family dinner date at Red Lobster!
So
when I finished up my doctorate I kept telling Mike that I wanted to do
something crazy such as go skydiving:) So for our anniversary back in
June Mike planned this skydiving adventure. It was by far the craziest
thing I have ever done, but SO worth it! Love that Mike loves doing
these crazy adventures with me<3
We finished up our crazy day with some wine tasting at our good friends' house-the Jakobs!
Reeve and I on a date to get our toes done....I may be creating a bad habit!
Summer fun!
Another
place we visited often and when we could this summer is the children's
activities at the library. This day was all about the Olympics!
Next
up for us was a trip to Kansas City with our dinner group to enjoy a
Royals game, shopping, of course eating, and the piano bar in Power and
Light district. We had such a great time with our Grand Island family:)
When no one helps you get into the fitting room you improvise:)
Us ladies wanted to check out IKEA since none of us had ever been so the guys decided to go to the bar.
Dinner at the Drunkin Fish!
Enjoying the piano bar!
While we were away Joden was dressing up as a girl at my sisters house:)
This day at the pool she told me she was tanning....I cannot believe how long she looks in this picture!
Being a goof in Walmart before gymnastics!
Joden earned this coupon by reading this summer so we went on a date to Sonic to use it!
More fun at the pool with friends. Joden brought his friend Jackson and Reeve invited Ellie!
Reeve has definitely not been a big fan of the water, especially when it gets in her eyes. So, since we have spent so much time at the pool she finally has worked up the courage to go under water! Woohoo:)
My classroom is ready to go! Let this new adventure begin:)
For the softball tournament I decided to make some snacks that people could pick up real quick and easy. So, I made some kabobs. They looked neat and turned out to be a hit!
Each year we play in the annual softball tournament honoring Mike's Uncle Lyle who lost his life to cancer about 15 years ago I think. We always try to do something fun with Mike's dad Gene's name. So this year we were the Geneomes:)
Everyone had a great time!
The Schumacher girls in our family: Kati, me of course, Mike's mom Brenda, Shannon, Heather, and Dan's wife Lisa! God sure blessed me with an amazing family:)
On Saturday night they always do a corn hole tournament and my niece Natalie was my partner<3
Unfortunately Joden takes after his dad and he got hit in the face with a softball:(
Here is our whole crew! A good time was sure had by all:) Until next year....I wonder what name we will come up with for our team??
Psalm 16:11
You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
