March

Every month is full of adventures...
Adventure #1:
Reeve dressed up as Fancy Nancy for school :) She also got to see her dinner group Aunt Kelly at school because she is a 5th grade teacher there!

Adventure #2:
The middle school I teach at is adding on so on our last professional learning day we got to tour the new construction!
 Adventure #3:
A love of mine during my childhood was going to state basketball.  My mom was a saint and would take me for the whole weekend and sit in the gym with me all weekend watching basketball games.  So this year Joden and I left right after school and ended up watching three games with dinner in between.  It was a great date a memory I will cherish forever.
*Also, we did not know, but Aunt Heather ended up being there-what a great surprise!
 Adventure #4:
Spring break was up next so we wanted to do something as a family.  We ended up going the Pizza Machine in Omaha, which was a good time.  It was nice that it was all inside-easier to keep track of our children.
Also during spring break we had some extra time for games...
and a beautiful day allowed us to go to the park with friends!
 Adventure #5:
Joden's 8th birthday was during spring break week so we were able to  go to Defy Gravity on his actual birthday.  Due to car space he could only bring 3 friends.  That was a hard decision for him to make.  They had a blast and definitely got worn out!

~Can't believe this boy made me a mama 8 years ago...seems like yesterday.  I LOVE every moment and also just always pray that he will come to me whenever he needs to!

 Adventure #6:
We ended our spring break by heading to Sidney to be a part of Mike's sister Kati's proposal.  Joden got to open a few gifts since he just had a birthday and then he proceeded to ask everyone if they got him a gift :)

The proposal went just as planned and it was an amazing night!  Love that Nate included us and of course love being a part of this fun-loving crew!
 ~Cousin time at Cabelas!
~Love when we return home and the kids just dive into their toys.  Reeve must have missed her babies:)

 Adventure #7:
Final flag football game!
 Adventure #8:
Exhaustion after having a week off for spring break, which resulted in falling asleep on the kitchen floor at 5pm.
 My everyday adventure:
Teaching or at least trying to teach these 6th graders...or crazy animals maybe...ha ha-just lots of social/emotional needs that wear me out some days :)  I am always pondering how can I engage them...
 Adventure #8:
The horse races with friends and then a random decision to go out to dinner afterwards.  What a fun spur of the moment kind of night with great friends!

 Adventure #9:
Dinner group at Olsens!  The one picture I captured is the girls dressed up as princesses:)
 Adventure #10:
Funday Sunday!  A quick picture in the car after church and hanging up my new wall decor.  This was an item I found on Magnolia Market and then found on target.com for about $30 cheaper!  I LOVE pictures so I thought it would be great for that and some other random things!
 Adventure #11:
Wrapping up the basketball season with our banquet!  Love these girls like my own:)
 Adventure #12:
This was by far the toughest adventure of the month!  We had tried last year to white wash these and the poly turned them yellow.  So we had to strip them and basically redo them.  It was hard work and took several weeks to do this table and the two side tables.  I do LOVE them so much better now and am glad we pushed ourselves to do this on our own.
 Adventure #13:
My Howard friends from the school I was previously at invited me to come paint with them.  My plan was to just stop by and say hello.  Julie, whom I worked very closely with, basically let Reeve take over hers.  Let's just say she made Reeve's day and I was reminded why she is definitely a special person that I am very honored to say I worked with!
 Adventure #14:
Reeve and I went and saw Beauty and the Beast while the boys saw Pokemon.  Fun date night!
 Adventure #15:
Random trip to Big Red Treats....I think that bowl is as big as Reeve's head:)
~The boys had a blast and giggled the whole time we were in there!
 Adventure #16:
Reeve mastered the towel on her head and was very proud of it!  These are those random moments where you get a gentle reminder that they are growing up:)
Last few random adventures I'll call them:
~Reeve loves having me try different things with her hair-this one was her idea!
~Joden brought this home from school and I loved the top right one because he drew our dinner group under monthly.  We sure love our GI family!
~Trying out the LipSense product so I wanted to capture a picture of the color to look back on.  Not 100% sure I love it, but am going to try a tube of it and see.  It is a little high maintenance for me:)
~Painting crosses for church!  Another glimpse they are getting older as they do not need much help from mom or dad... :(
 Adventure #17:
I freaking LOVE March madness!  It is just one of those things every year that I definitely look forward to and enjoy following.  This year Joden has even gotten into it and that has been fun!
Every month includes such adventures and whether they are good, bad, ugly, we know with God by our side we will journey on because he is in control!
