May

May is always full of 'ends' for many reasons, but these 'ends' leave my heart often proud of the hard work put in throughout the year!

Spring/summer sports are in full swing!  Softball keeps Reeve busy and as she learns more and more she sure is having a blast.  This year she is playing a lot of the pitcher position and also some 2nd base.  Each position she was tentative to start out, but then has done pretty darn awesome once she figures out how the positions work! It sure is also fun to get to help coach your team:)

One morning we had some time between games in Hastings so we took two of Reeve's teammates to breakfast.  It was yummy and the girls had a blast!

Delayna and you could totally pass for sisters:)

While in Columbus for your softball we enjoyed some bar food! It was pretty good.

The next activity that occurred in May was Time to Shine for gymnastics.  This is Reeve's culminating program after working on her skills all year.  She did awesome and we love the strength and flexibility she is gaining by doing gymnastics!

Another May activity we threw in was celebrating Reeve's birthday.  We had to wait due to her dance recital and she wanted to have her party in the camper with some friends!  She chose a unicorn theme:). They had a blast and we all survived a sleepover in the camper!

Jadyn, Josie, Emmy, and Reeve
Mike helped with slime making:)
It was a must for me to enjoy a glass of wine by the fire and we even let Joden have his friend Lucas so that he did not annoy the girls!

A few pictures of Reeve enjoying her friend Ellie's company!

Nothing is more beautiful than all the blooming in the spring!  Just makes my heart happy seeing God's beautiful creation in action!

Next up was Time to Shine for Joden.  He did amazing and we are actually going to let him do Team Gymnastics next year.  My heart is so full of joy seeing how excited he is for this!

This year we switched gears with Joden for baseball to take it down a notch from Riverdogs.  It was a very tough decision, but we are feeling that we made the right choice!  He is having a great time, showing leadership skills, knowledge of the game, and cheering other teammates on.  In my heart I truly believe if we had stayed he would not have had the opportunity to develop these skills for several reasons!  It really has been fun to watch him grow:)

Papa Schu was able to come watch two of his games:).

Two fun field trips to end the school year for Joden:
1.  Due to completing the 40 book challenge he got to go with the other kids who completed the same challenge to a museum I believe.
2.  In 4th grade you learn about Nebraska's history, so he went to Lincoln and Mike got to join him!  They had a great day:)

Joden was in run club this year again and he completed the 5K in 23:16...holy cow that is fast!  So proud of him!
He even did so in these clunkers...he is so hard on shoes!  We finally went and got a new pair:)

My dear friend Leah hosted a wine party and it was a blast!  Us mamas sure enjoyed our time and my head may have hurt just a tad the next day:). Love our circle of friends and am incredibly thankful for them!

In all my 12 years of education this is definitely one of my most favorite gifts!  Who wouldn't love a wine/coffee cup:)

My parents came to visit for some grandkid activities.  My dad is such a goof...

End of school fun!

Enjoyed a few beverages with my team at BT's!

We enjoyed a weekend of camping at Morman Island once school was out!

In order to create space we removed two more canines!

First summer camp was football!  Wore him out:)

First summer camp for Reeve was volleyball!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
