August 2022

August has been a fun month!  We have enjoyed fun with friends/family and have adjusted to the back to school life:).  Excited for some of their games/events to begin here soon!

For a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters the boys did a Putt Putt event at the bars downtown Grand Island.  They had a blast and likely had one too many beers, but were not too out of control:)

Meanwhile Joden was camping with his good friend Aden!

Reeve and I enjoyed our annual back to school shopping trip.  We go to Kearney for Target, coffee, Old Navy, a theatre show, and lunch or dinner.  This year we saw Sister Act, which was really good and ate dinner at a Mexican restaurant.  We usually do sushi and decided we wished we would have kept with the norm.  Mexican was just okay.

We have a tradition where we go get coffee and play a board game on my last day off before I return to work.  We always have a great time:)

My sister works for GISH virtually, but came down for the back to school events.  It was super fun to have her around the first few days back to work!!  Maybe someday she can live here full time:)

This is my niece Charlee who passed away at birth.  She would have been 11 this August.  It is always heartbreaking knowing she isn't here, but knowing we will get it to reunite one day give us all something to look forward to.

Team builder for dance at the lake.  The girls had fun!

Reeve always helps me in my classroom before school and I love it!  I will be sad when she doesn't want to help me anymore.

I bottled my kombucha for the first time and it was soooooo good!  It makes it carbonated and taste delicious.  This first one was pineapple turmeric.

Back to school pictures:
Mom-16th year and currently teaching high school

Can't believe my babies are both in middle school!

Celebrated Mike's birthday at the fair for the bull riding event!
The next day was the marathon relay with some fun friends!  We ran it in 3:39, placing first for women:)
After party was at Kinkaider to watch the Huskers play in Ireland.  It was a fun day for sure!

That night we had dinner group and celebrated Mike's birthday there with a peanut butter cake!
