July was Crazy Fun!!
Mike met the kids at I at my parents' house, which is at Lake Mac! We did some fireworks with the 4 of us:) It is so fun to do these types of activities with our kids!
Being a mom is truly an amazing gift-I love these two so much<3
The next day we left the lake and headed into Colorado. Our first stop was the pool in Sterling, Colorado. My sister came with us. It was just the right size!
After Sterling pool we stayed the night in Brush with Mike's cousin and his wife. Then we got up on July 3rd and headed into Denver and took the kids to the Children's Museum. They had a BLAST!
Lunch time with cousins Finn (4) and Piper (6 months)-she missed this picture:)
Our next activity in Denver was attending a Rockies game with the extended Schumacher family. Marcella, Mike's grandma has been getting Rockies tickets for the July 3rd game for Christmas gifts. We probably had roughly 60 Schumachers in attendance! We had a great time with everyone, but with 2 young kids I am not sure I saw any of the game:)
Mike's sisters Kati, Heather, and Heather's friend Tracy!
The sisters and sister-n-laws on Mike's side! We always have a good time together:)
After the game we got to go down on the field and watch the fireworks. There were people EVERYWHERE! The field felt like carpet:)
We were so close to the firework show and at one point I plugged my ears it was so loud! It was incredible though!
One last picture of our Schumacher crew on the field after the fireworks.
After being gone for a week we missed home and were excited to return! It is always good to go on vacation and it is great to return home:)
Just riding on a horse:)
Pool time! The kids and I spend a lot of time at the wading pools in Grand Island:)
One night at dinner group there was a watermelon eating contest. Let's just say Reeve did not end up participating. As for Joden he was not there, but I am guessing if he was, he would have definitely participated!
Mike was in a wedding and since I had gone back to work I wasn't able to go. So, Reeve and I stayed home together. We enjoyed the Chocolate Bar for coffee and then did some shopping. I wore her out and she fell asleep in my lap:)
Once I put her to bed I enjoyed an Apple Ale and read "The Fault of Our Stars" on our patio. It was such a relaxing night all to myself:) I guess Zaley was there with me!
Reeve loves her cousin Finn so she was hugging his picture!
This is Reeve's best friend Ellie:) We were helping her celebrate her 3rd birthday!
They truly did miss each other! They were hugging after being away from each other all weekend:)
Joden was sick so I got to stay home with him the second week I was back to work. Funny thing is he did not have a fever this whole day, so we just relaxed!
We really have enjoyed hanging out on the patio once we get the kids to bed. This night entailed Yahtzee and asking each other random questions off of something I found on Pinterest. We had a date night in our own house:)
I snapped this picture of Joden holding my hand. I just love how he will reach over and grab my hand when we are snuggling on the couch. I know one day he will be too old for this, so I wanted to capture a picture!
Kids Kingdom!
This was our one and only trip to Island Oasis this summer! Next summer we will have a family pass, therefore I am guessing we will be there a lot.
One afternoon the kids decided to play "Kori". This is the name of the person who cuts all of our hair;)
Summer Fun Club has wore him out this summer! He does not get a nap anymore, so he would sometimes fall asleep on the couch at 5pm. I cannot imagine what the first week of kindergarten is going to do to him!
Trying to keep him from sleeping in our bed with us, so we have booted him out to the floor! I swear that cannot be comfortable.
Wednesday nights we go to Body Pump at the Y and Mike usually runs home. So, Joden loves running with his dad for a short distance. It will be neat someday when they can run races together:)
Saturday fun day with mom while dad went to the woods. We started our day at Baristas for coffee and a cinnamon roll, then we went to story time at the library, next was a picnic in the park, and we finished our day at the pool! I LOVE doing these types of things with them:)
