Joy.Love.Laughter

Joden's reaction to finding out whose class he was in.
On the kids' bucket list for the summer was a slumber party with friends.  So, we did both of them on the same night.  Joden had Cooper stay.  He has known Cooper since they were babies.  Reeve had Ellie stay.  They have been best buds their whole life so far :)

We spent the rest of that Saturday just relaxing and then hitting up the cosmic bowling at the bowling alley!
Our tree out back has been producing a surplus of acorns.  Mike got excited because he can feed them to his deer, so he spent quite a while knocking them down :)  Gotta love what he does for those deer-I just love that he has a passion in life!

This is a great picture displaying my kids' goofiness.  This is just one of the many examples of the joy, love, and laughter that they bring to my life!  Never a dull moment that is for sure:)
Reeve decided one Sunday before church that she wanted us to take a picture of her in her pretty dress <3
Open house for first grade.  This is Joden's first grade teacher Mrs. Fucile!
*He was a tad not cool with mom asking him to take a picture with his teacher:)
So, on Joden's first day of school he decided he really wanted a picture of us by the Gates Gator sign.  Another moment of laughter for sure!
So much fun and excitement on the first day of school!
Grand Island has an event each year called the Duck Derby.  We decided to check it out this year.  The kids of course had a good time!

I got to go out with the girls for some fun so Mike hung out with the kids and sent me these few pics!

Before I left I was texting Kelly a pic of what I was wearing and again my fun loving kiddos jumped in for the picture:)
So my friend Casie's in-laws own these neat place in St.Paul, NE.  Our fun for the night was Miletta Vista Winery and staying in this place!

This was our group.  It included our dinner group girls and then some of Casie's St. Paul friends.
We celebrated Kelly's birthday also and got to hear this lady sing at the vineyard!  It was a relaxing night for sure!
The place we stayed at was right across from the St. Paul bar so we made that our last stop:)
The next weekend we hit up the Chocolate Bar for coffee and a snack while Joden was at a basketball clinic.  Dad and Reeve were being pretty goofy!  Watching them interact was joy for sure!

Reeve enjoyed giving me a manicure and Mike a pedicure.  She was so incredibly proud of herself for getting to paint with nail polish!
Throughout motherhood thus far one of my greatest joys is seeing the kids sleeping.  It really is hard to explain, but it makes me stop a second and think of how incredibly grateful I am to be their mother.  This night was picture worthy because this stuffed animal Ruger is pretty special to Joden and I found it so sweet the way he was hugging it!
Decided for my shout out to my main squeeze for his birthday I would find some pictures representing his goofiness.  He sure is a fun time which of course adds to the joy, love, and laughter in our lives.  So incredibly thankful to have him by my side daily!
 State Fair fun!
I mean why not pay $10 to ride a camel??

This sheep was named pumpkin so they painted pumpkins on it with koolaid.
Mike and Joden made a rope in the family fun zone:)
Thankfully we planned out a schedule before we went so we could see as many shows as possible.  On the left we saw a pirate show and on the right we saw some dogs who were catching frisbees.  Both were super fun to watch!
 Waiting to watch Galaxy Girl!
This show made me a tad anxious watching all of that action high up in the sky!  Joden informed me that he was not brave enough to go that high and I said me neither :)
 Time for some rides!

 Bumper cars with Uncle Kevin!
The fair is exhausting for sure:)
After getting the kids home and settled we went back to watch Keith Urban.  Mike and I are not big concert people, but decided to go since it was a great singer right here in Grand Island.  We went with our great friends the Jakob's and had a wonderful time!

So we ended up standing right by a recycle bin, which really came in handy.  It sort of blocked people from walking in front of us!  Also, Rachel and I were excited about how many people were recycling:)  I think that is a sign that we are getting older, maybe :)

Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
