December

As we wrap up this year, although it has been a tougher one, we are grateful for the memories made with family and friends!

My dad has taught me to love food over the years and so I love taking food pictures to remember the delicious meals that were had!

Sourdough bread making is continuing to go well!
Got to enjoy a yummy dinner with Karisa and Heather at the Blue Fork in Hastings.  It is a sister restaurant to the Odyssey.
Some meals made at home-chicken tacos, chicken and dumplings-made out of sourdough, below is French toast made out of sourdough, and a breakfast sandwich with sourdough!

A few meals out-above Reeve and I ate at a sports bar in Kearney when we were there for basketball and below we enjoyed some yummy sushi as always!

We had a church event for women and I thought it was dinner, but it was not...just dessert.  So, unfortunately that was my dinner.  I really don't love love sweets, so I definitely felt like it was too much sugar!

Joden finished the fall semester with show choir and orchestra.  I love his love for some fine arts-never ever would I have expected this, but not disappointed one bit!

Lots of basketball fun!  We are getting there slowly, but surely.  Best part of all is this group of girls are incredibly kind and fun to be around.

Joden:). You are my fun loving boy who still will snuggle up with your mom!  You fell asleep watching some Husker volleyball with me.  Speaking of Husker volleyball, they were amazing in the tournament this year.  They fell short in the championship, but really have so much to be proud of!

Fun in the classroom with my students and below is the cast of A Christmas Carol that some of my students were in!

Dinner group adults went to see A Christmas Story in Kearney and then the next day we had a Sunday funday in Lincoln with some of the Schumacher crew.  We went to the Nebraska women's basketball game with the Ankenys and then did dinner with Dan, Lisa, and Liv joining us.

Some pre Christmas fun included baking cookies, decorating gingerbread man houses, puzzles, movies and playing games.

Christmas Eve
Christmas day fun!

We hosted Christmas dinner at our house that evening.  Mike smoked a prime rib and it was delicious!

Gift exchange with my family!

Some fun with Nana, Blair, and Quinn!

Fun evening with two of my dearest friends!
New Years Eve with the Schumacher side.  We went to sushi and then went to the Ankenys for a small party!
