June was wild and fun all at the same time! Just felt like a lot of running around, yet so many great moments as well. It all just seems like it is going so fast, so just trying to soak in all the moments.
Lots of basketball in June for Reeve. It was so fun to watch their team gel together. They were such a great group of girls and we are so grateful she was able to be a part of this opportunity. Looking forward to hopefully doing this again next summer!
One of the tournaments we stayed the night in a hotel and enjoyed some one on one time with Reeve since Joden was in Europe. We had a great time together:)
They even got first place in one of the tournaments!
The last tournament the girls had a sleepover at the coaches aunts house. They had a great time:)
Reeve enjoyed all of the girls, but did become really close with Kali. Making new friends is definitely fun!
Joden had a blast in Europe and we are so grateful he had the privilege to go on the trip. He did just fine and only lost one item, which was his sunglasses. Since he has been back we have had two moms and the head coach tell us that he was amazing to have on the trip. They shared that he was just such a great kid and was a joy to be around. That is exactly what we want to hear as parents. This matters way more than any academic or athletic accolade!
It felt so good to have him back and give him a giant hug!! I think he missed us:)
GI basketball camp for Reeve.
We had the idea to ride our bikes downtown with the Schu crew for a long time and we were finally able to do so! We had a great time and the weather was actually cold-ha:)
We have had so much rain this year! The flowers are looking great because of it!
Reeve has been super helpful in the concession stands for baseball! Definitely appreciate her help!
Fun with cousins! Love that they live here in GI and we can hang out with them more in the summer:)
The past several years we have enjoyed going to Hear GI for Allen Capital Group. It was a beautiful night for it this year!
Father's Day and our 17th anniversary fell on the same day this year. We got to enjoy it with dinner at the Oven. Then Mike and I extended our anniversary celebration into the next weekend. We tried to get tickets to the College World Series. We did not succeed, but we did enjoy hanging out down there for most of the afternoon.
This summer one of my goals was/is to make time for those in my life that I have not connected with in a long time. Got to have coffee with my first college roommate. I am so glad we caught up and was reminded of how much fun she is:)
Rounded out June cheering on Joden! He wrestled in the downtown lights event and then played baseball in Lincoln. Wrestling he went 1-1 and baseball they went 2-0. Great way to end the month!
