April
Time alone is not the norm with children so we were very appreciative when we were back in Sidney for Easter. Mike's sister Shannon took our kids for the night so we were able to hit up Cabelas and go hang out with our good friends the Longs. Yay for time with this amazing man!
Egg decorating at Papa Schu's house :)
Men on the Schumacher side having some male bonding time, stuffing eggs, and Joden seeking the help of his future Uncle Nathan to build his legos with him :)
Easter morning <3
Schumacher cousins--this makes my heart happy!
Mike's sister Shannon with her two kids Finn (5) and Piper (1)
The Schumacher chicks:
Kati, Heather, Me, Shannon, and Lisa (Dan's wife)
My two Easter babies:) I LOVE them so very much and also LOVE their goofy personalities.
The hunt is on :)
Joden and I wore our Duke gear to celebrate them being National Champs! I sure do hope I get to go see them live at Cameron someday!!!!
Well I thought we were running Race for Grace so I told Mike we needed to make shirts to wear for my mom...
My 30th birthday was going to be dinner at home and out to ice cream! Mike told me last minute that he was taking me out for dinner. I figured it was just him and I, but to my surprise many of my wonderful Grand Island friends were there AND two of my high school/college friends showed up from Lincoln! It was a wonderful night and a great way to celebrate turning 30:)
The day after my birthday was Friday and I thought it would be fun to take off the afternoon to celebrate-this was before I knew Mike had planned Thursday night. Anyway, we went to The Longest Ride, which was a super good chick flick! Then we ate at El Toro and enjoyed some margaritas while we were there.
Just when I thought my birthday celebration concluded at El Toro, Mike informed me that we were headed to Colorado to celebrate some more.....what?? Let's just say he did way too much-crazy guy-that is why I love him so <3

Color run at Copper Mountain. We wore the shirts anyway and to my surprise everyone made the same shirt :)
This was our running crew-our good friends the Longs, and Kati, Dan/Lisa.
The after...time for a beer!
My shirt had this on the back...my mom has been through so much and we continue to pray for her as she recovers!
After we finished up at Copper we drove to Denver and ate at the Yard. I decided to get a beer sampler, which was yummy!
Ready to go to dinner and a comedy show!
Gotta love my face...I saw Lisa with something across the room that I wanted :)
This shot was like dessert in a cup! Love my sisters facial expression-we thought she looked like a creeper:)
My beautiful sister in law Kati. I have known her since she was a 4th grader :) Love her dearly!
This was the comedy crew. It was improv so the crowd got to be involved and Mike and I even went down on stage!
Everyone sang me happy birthday :) After this we were so exhausted from the run that we called it a night and were in bed by midnight! It was such a fun night and I enjoyed every minute of all my birthday celebration. Thanks to everyone who joined me along the way!!
Reeve got to hang with her cousins while we were in Colorado. She looks like she is their little sister :)
This picture that came home from school melted my heart...his self portrait!
Mike was so sweaty after body pump he rode home without his shirt :)
Crazy hair day at school. I asked her to take a picture before she left and she gave me the Aunt Kati pose!
Fun Fair at Gates with her best friend Ellie. Sadly Joden was sick and could not go-he was devastated:(
He lost his first tooth!
Miss Reeve came in from being outside and her outfit just cracked me up. Helmet, heels, and garden gloves.
Enjoying this spring weather and being able to read for fun now that my doctorate is over!
This was what Mike and Reeve were doing while I was reading. Again, I love her goofiness!
Trying to build a fort :)
They were both snoring!
Eating some yummy breakfast at the Chocolate Bar on the day of Reeve's birthday party!
I thought the way my breakfast croissant sandwich was served was sweet!
The YMCA had Healthy Kids day and everything was free so we thought why not! They got to jump in a bounce house, see a fire truck and an ambulance, dance to Zumba, and visit some stations.
Time for the birthday party at Twisters! Everyone sure had a blast!
After the party we came to our house for pizza. I just love how everyone hangs out at the bar and at the same time I am thankful we were able to move to a larger house 4 years ago because this would not have been possible in our first home!
Love catching these two during moments such as this one <3
First true bike ride where she did not give up after about 5 seconds! She did awesome :)
Reeve's official birthday! Truly cannot believe my baby is 4! Love her so very much :)
Joden drew this football picture at school. It caught my eye because he wrote f-u-c I gotit. I thought this said f*** I got it. When asking him what it said he said thunk, I got it. Phew...I was a tad worried because we do not use the f word in our house!
Why not sleep in your headband?
And why not sleep without underwear on :) He got up in the night to potty and decided he no longer needed any pants at all!
My 30th birthday month was sure one that will always be remembered! Love all those in my life and know God has surrounded me with them for a reason :)
